I gave you five stars for originality, for the same reason I really gave you a high score for technique and impact, outside of the quality of the work itself. There's a strange feel to this work, and it's only added by the fact that the subject isn't facing the viewer, but looking wistfully out into the distance. Why is she looking out into the distance? What is she thinking? And even though I can't read her mind, I still feel the impact of her yearning for... something. Whatever it is. And the mystery just adds to it; it's an effective style, and one I don't see a lot in general.
I have to say that I noticed something odd with this picture, and I wonder if it's deliberate: The ground and bottom of her dress seem blurry, yet her hair and wings are much more detailed, but mostly the hair has the most visible lines. The clouds, likewise, are very blurry, which draws the viewer's eye straight to the middle of the painting, away from the "not so interesting" blurred parts of the picture. I find that this adds a lot to the impact to the picture, and should be noted.
Other than that, I can't really add onto what Blaz had to say, although I would like to add that I am left wondering what the ring on her right, under the right wing is about. Is that a part of the character, part of the scenery? For me, it's slightly distracting, and it works slightly against the blurred-detailed-eye-catching I mentioned earlier, but not enough to seriously damage it.
Anyways, like I said earlier: Not an artist, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
My only beef is the lack of shadows on her and on the ground. Where's the light coming from? It looks rather flat and I think maybe a sun set or something in front of her or the sun high above her would make this picture a whole lot more interesting and dramatic.
And maybe a few gulls in the air wouldn't hurt XD
Overall, I think its wonderful, good job!
